On the 21st of March 2024, Mr. Kenneth Mpyisi, Coordinator African Inter Party Network (AIPDN) and Regional Director of Social Innovation Africa (SIA) met with Dr. Lawrence Sserwambala, Executive Secretary, Inter Party Organization for Dialogue (IPOD), to discuss collaboration between the two organizations. The meeting was held in Kampala, Uganda.

IPOD is a legal entity incorporated in 2021, with an aim of pursuing and promoting inclusive democracy and the fundamental principles of democracy, good governance, human rights, institutional strengthening of political parties to be trusted representatives of public interests, non-discrimination, promoting interparty dialogue and cooperation as a means for dealing with political differences.

It was agreed upon to collaborate on upcoming political party capacity building initiatives and training on Electoral processes for political parties during the course of the year.  

 AIPDN will also be engaged with IPOD, on upcoming dialogue activities with the youth. These are activities are in support of the general elections scheduled to to place in 2026.
